Hair Braiding
1. Encourages hair growth. By preserving the scalp and ends, braiding hair can help you keep your hair long. As you won’t be brushing or detangling your hair while it is in braids, you can save your hair from breakage. The risk of split ends and unintended breakage can be reduced if your ends are tucked away. Additionally, braided styles retain the moisture required for robust hair growth.
2. Protects your scalp. Your hair can only grow in the right environment if your scalp is healthy. The friction on your scalp is reduced by keeping your hair in braids, especially if you add extensions to your braiding hair.
3. Maintaining hair moisture. Moisture is better retained and locked in by hair that has been braided.
4. Prevent Frizz. There is nothing wrong with some frizz, but sometimes the humidity can ruin your hair. Braids help you in a way if you want to shield your hair from extreme temperatures and stop frizzing. Because your hair is braided, environmental elements like water or heat can’t affect it the same way.
5. Low Maintenance. Everybody fantasizes about waking up some days without having to do their hair. There is less maintenance required for braided styles than for wash-and-go styles, aside from your daily scalp care and biweekly wash routine.
6. Versatile. The variety of braid styles and ways to wear them is an additional advantage of wearing braids. You may create various braid styles, and can achieve multiple looks within each braid style.
For instance, box braids can be styled in different ways, including with extensions, in vibrant colors, swept to one side, half-up, half-down, in a bun or ponytail, and more.
7. Long-Lasting. Braiding can last from a few days to a few months, unlike a wash-and-go or a pulled-back ponytail. You might only need to style your hair for a few weeks, depending on the type of braids you get.
